Samsung S5830 Galaxy Ace Email manual configuration

To set up email on your Samsung Galaxy Ace you will need:

• An email account at an internet or email provider.
• Login details of the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
• An active internet connection, if needed click here for instructions.

Click Next for instructions on setting up email.

• Start screen.
• Choose the menu symbol.

• Choose Email.

• If this screen appears, choose the menu key, and choose Accounts.
• If this screen does not appear, skip the next step.

• Choose the menu key, and choose Add account.

• Under Email address, enter your email address.
• Under Password, enter the password of your email account.
• Choose Manual setup.

• Choose POP3 account.

• Under User name, enter the username of your email account.
• Under Password, enter the password of your email account.
• Under POP3 server, enter the POP3 server address of your email provider.

• Under Port, enter the POP3 port number of your email provider.
• Under Security type, choose None.
• Choose Next.

• Your e-mail data is verified.
• If this screen does not change, go 1 step back and check your data.

• Under SMTP server, enter relay.proximus.be.
• Under Security type, choose None.
• Under Port, enter 25.
• Choose Require sign-in, and uncheck this option.
• Choose Next.

• Your e-mail data is verified again.
• If this screen does not change, go 1 step back and check your data.

• Under Email check frequency, choose the mail checking interval.
• Choose Next.

• Under Give this account a name, enter Email via Proximus.
• Under Your name, enter your name.
• Choose Done.
• Return to the Start screen.

• Start screen.
• Switch off the Samsung Galaxy Ace and restart it in order to activate the settings.
• E-mail setup successful? Proceed with sending e-mails.
